If you’ve viewed the comment sections on TikTok recently, you might have seen a “Grip Reaper” comment.

The title went viral in 2022 on TikTok, but it actually originated in 2020.

Here are some variations of the title, “The Chicago Grip Reaper”, “The Grip Titan”, “The Grippler” and many more.

It’s also related to the “gorilla grip coochie” slang/memes that originated as early as 2019.

In this article, you’ll learn what Grip Reaper means (The Chicago Grip Reaper), where it comes from, and memes of it on TikTok.

What does Grip Reaper mean?

The Grip Reaper is a title used for a woman who supposedly has a tight coochie.

It’s similar to the slang, “Gorilla Grip Coochie”, which is used on TikTok, Twitter, and in music.

The slang inspired a trend called “GripTok”, where TikTokers did Kegel exercises to viral songs.

The hashtag, #griptok has over 213 million views but has slowed down in recent years.

On TikTok, the “Grip Reaper” title is usually given to women acting “goofy” or “crazy”.

Surprisingly, the stereotype is that the “crazier” a woman is, the tighter her “grip” is.

Ironically, ludicrousy is not typically viewed as an attractive trait.

Society usually associates the desirability of women with their “grip”—the tighter the better.

The idea is that women with multiple “bodies” make them “loose”—which is actually a false narrative, according to Dr. Jennifer Lincoln.

Jennifer is an obstetrician who teaches “health” lessons on TikTok to her 2.8 million followers.

A Twitter user, @yorhamaid described “The Grip Reaper” quite perfectly.

The tweet, “P*ssy so tight he died, call me the grip reaper” got over 3.8k likes.

Grip Reaper meme

The “Grip Reaper” meme started from a video of Chloe Woodward, a former Vine Star.

In the video, Chloe was acting like a crazy person and said, “Uhh hey, does anyone want to come over to my house? Oh, I forgot you can’t!”.

Followed by, “You can’t come to my house because no one can ever come to my house because I live in the middle place between world and time”.

The original video was deleted but it was reposted on multiple social media platforms like Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.

On TikTok, the repost got over 6 million views and more than 10k comments.

The full title that was given to Chloe in the video is “The Chicago Grip Reaper”.

It was inspired by the video titled “Lil Reese: The Grim Reaper of Chicago” on YouTube.

The video got over 1.1 million views and was uploaded by Hip-Hop Daily.

Lil Reese is an American rapper from Chicago known for his drill music.
